Teaching Philosophy
"You're off to great places, today is your day, your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!" -Dr. Seuss
I believe that every child should have the right to learn and get a quality education. Every child that walks through the doors of any classroom should feel safe and comfortable in their environment. Students need to be surrounded with positivity, and teachers should encourage students to think critically, expand their horizons, and view perspectives other than their own. Every child is unique, and it is important as a teacher to be able to recognize differences among students in order to adapt to their needs. One priority a teacher should have is to be able to create positive relationships with students in order to understand their emotional, social, psychological, and physical needs in order to help them grow.
Learning should be fun and exciting! My classroom will be a welcoming place where children feel comfortable and eager to learn. My ultimate goal is for children to feel confident in what they are doing, whether it is in school, at home, participating in sports, or participating in other activities.
